If you're looking for information about Do It Right (DIR) diving then you're in the wrong place! Try the term "DIR SCUBA" in a search engine or go to the Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) site for real information. But when you've done all that, and more to the point met a few of the characters, then remember this little site here. Despite the thousands of pages dedicated to DIR diving on the web I couldn't find any that dealt with DIR Humour, these pages are the result.
You see, some of these DIR types do take themselves a little too seriously. With a religious zeal they see it as their duty to spread the great gospel of DIR, theirs is the one and only true way, they are right and the rest of the world is wrong. There is some very good and sound thinking in the DIR philosophy, but it can be taken to extremes and ignore simple practicalities. With the traditional hallmark of being a religious cult you must accept all of their thinking without question, anything less marks you out as a stroke.
Well I'm a stroke and proud of it, but DIR can be good for a laugh...
